Last week our very own Kiera Byland was presented with the BEM. The presentation took place at Manchester Monastery. The British Empire Medal is a British medal awarded for meritorious civil or military service worthy of recognition by the Crown.

The Development ride was divided into two groups with John Wych taking the lead on a longer and faster paced ride with 5 riders. I took the other ride which covered 30 miles in total and had 3 riders. The ride started in overcast weather conditions with the occasional spot of rain but we made the cafe just a little damp. After sharing a very tasty bit of birthday cake with Daniel on his 18th we headed back to our cars. It was raining quite heavily on the way back but that didn’t retract from a great 1st ride.

Club ride out in Cheshire, around Jodrell Bank.. Social ride with a mixed ability crew, experienced BC coaches to complete novices.
